Musings: AI and Common prosperity

 Many are worried that the advent of AI spells the end for many professions.

Lets put it this way.

Will AI be fully autonomous or still require humans to manage?

AI will undoubtedly speed up and replace many human tasks.

If humans are still needed, there are good to be gain.

Perhaps humans no longer need to work 8 hours a day.

If goods and services generated can remain at current levels or even exceed, though the hours put in by humans may be lower, we could still maintain humans current wages or increase even.

If humans are no longer needed, and AI can do all the work, including monitoring themselves.

If goods and services generated remain just as high, then all humans will be given financial freedom.

Choices on how they would want to utilise their time.

Perhaps then, a communistic common prosperity can be achieved.

Needless to say, society as we know it will change drastically.

In a humanly good or bad way, nobody knows.

After all work is used to regulate societal behaviour by occupying time with something meaningful.

It comes down to how people then choose to use their time and in meaningful ways, just not having to worry about making a living, because then AI will be bringing the same butter and bread to everyone's table.

Regardless, all things will turn out for good, unto the glory of GOD.
