Psalms
Chapter 130

1 (A Song of degrees.) Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD.
2 Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
3 If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?
4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.
5 I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.
6 My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.
7 Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.
8 And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
Understandings through the Holy Spirit
- Great is the mercies of the LORD our GOD. Thank you so much LORD for allowing us to come before your throne through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour, kneeling in prayer for your mercy, in fear and great trembling. O wretched man that we are, who can save us from this body of death? You’ve freed us from serving sin, you’ve saved us from death. We submit ourselves wholly to you LORD, serving you, fearing you, loving you. Please have mercy on us LORD, for we do what we would not, and do not what we would. Have mercy on us LORD, that your powers may work through us, that your strength may be perfect in our weakness. That we may, putting on your whole armor, withstand the wiles of the devil. That we may walk in the Spirit, that we fulfill not the lust of the flesh. That we may do all things and say all things and think all things unto the glory of you, our LORD our GOD. We pray and thank all this in Jesus most precious name. May all glory be unto our LORD, our GOD, our CREATOR, our HEAVENLY FATHER, forever and ever, amen.
